Accomplishments

  • Successfully supported districts reduce their incidence significantly to a Malaria elimination phase (Malaria Case Investigation)
  • Supported MOH in the overall reduction of Malaria Incidence rates (from 87 to 27) as of 3rd Quarter 2020 across Pathfinder Pre-Elimination Districts.
  • Successfully Oriented Key District Health Officers (Surveillance and Information Officers) in the use of NMEC-DHIS2 to Followup and Update reports for Health Facility and Community Health Workers leading to an increased real-time follow-up of Malaria cases and improved decision making.
  • Successfully supported the training of over 2,500 CHWs and provided Surveillance Technical support to 375 Data CHWs and 187 Health Facility Staff in Pre-Elimination supported Districts.
  • Revolutionised CLTS monthly reporting in Northwestern province with the Coordinator Protocol Initiative which led to improved monthly reporting from 6% to 37% and later improved to 68% with a steady improving ODF status from 16% to 43%.
  • Successfully trained over 350 community volunteers across districts in the use of mobile devices for data collection and reporting, leading to an increase in monthly WASHE reporting.
