2. Supervision of Polling Staff: Overseeing a team of polling officials, including polling clerks and assistants. Assigning tasks, ensuring that everyone understands their roles, and addressing any issues that arise during the voting process.
3. Ensuring Compliance with Electoral Laws: Responsible for ensuring that all electoral procedures are followed correctly. This includes verifying the identity of voters, ensuring that only eligible voters cast their ballots, and maintaining the secrecy of the vote.
4. Handling Voting Irregularities: If any irregularities or disputes arise, such as voter complaints, challenges to a voter's eligibility, or potential security concerns, the Presiding Officer is responsible for addressing and resolving these issues in accordance with election laws and guidelines.
