- Selected sites and 55 forage seed producer farmers for production of forage seeds, vegetative planting material, and seedlings.
- Prepared and managed forage seed contracts for 55 smallholder farmers through a buyback system. A total of 500MT of forage seeds were produced locally by smallholder farmers.
- Developed the pasture pricing model for smallholder farmers based on cost of production.
- Reduced dependancy on imported forage seeds by producing 10MT of stylosanthes forage legume seed and developed local forage seed production
- Initiated the multiplication and Production of perennial legume seeds locally
- Introduced new drought resistant grasses and legumes for smallholder farmers
- Liaised with other partners, including seed companies, on arrangements for sustainability beyond the project in line with seed storage, handling, and packing. Coordinated contracts for such activities.
