Responsibilities

(a) To supervise heads of department (Gender, Education, Public Relations, Finance, Legal, Researtch, Human Resource and Management).
(b) Preparation of papers or materials for constitutional bodies of congress.
(c) General administrative work in collaboration with Secretary General.
(d) Drafting of minutes of meetings, coordination of arrangements of such
meetings.
(e) Facilitation of recruitment and selection of staff as well as their training and development.
(f) To assign any officer falling under this office to carry out such functions and responsibilities relevant to that department from time to time.
(g) Any other duties as may be assigned by the Secretary General from time to time.
(h) Carry out all the above duties in consultation with the Secretary General.

(i) Organizing Workshops for Trade Union Members (Capacity building, leadership skills, gender equality, etc).

(j) Advising Unions on Collective bargaining for better conditions of service.

Achievements

(i) Increased number of Trade Unions from 41 Affiliates in 2015, to 54 Affiliates in 2022.

(ii) Managed to stop Government from introducing a law that would remove retired workers from the payroll before full benefits are paid.

(iii) Successful holding of labour day activities, Youth and Women activities every year.

(iv) Aiding Government in the formulation of the compulsory National Health Insurance Scheme.

(v) Rendering an effective voice for workers in precarious work environment, vis-a-vis, securing of minimum wages.

Lecturer - Mechanical Engineering Design
