  • Planning and forecasting. Enforcing effective distribution of operating areas to guarantee efficiency and appropriate workloads for supervisors and loan officers. Monthly and weekly accurate forecasting of disbursements, collections, pipeline of maturing loans, and arrears. Coordination of the activity planner at the branch and assessing geographic areas for growth.
  • Monitoring and Supervision. Monitoring actual activities for Supervisors, Loan Officers, and oneself, on a daily and weekly basis and their deviation against the activity planner. Also, arrears management - daily late repayment and arrears reports review with management. This involves tracking daily operations of the branch, including customer service, human resources, sales, and marketing activities.
  • Head Office Reporting. Generating and analyzing portfolio performance reports (weekly and monthly) including trend analysis reporting for senior management. Any other report and analysis as required by IT, HR, Finance, and Regional Managers.
  • Human Resource Management. Managing periodic performance appraisals for all staff members. Leave planning and management at branch level through weekly planners, to guarantee that eventualities are planned well in advance and do not negatively affect work flow and quality.
  • Communication and Coaching. Conducting monthly, weekly, and daily briefings with all staff, including supervisors and loan officers, for the analysis of monthly performance. Encouraging team building, efficiency, and motivation among staff.
  • Asset, Financial, and Admin Management of the Branch. Oversight, repairs, maintenance, inventory checks of all assets required to perform duties (i'e Motorbikes, computers, tablets, MIS and IT systems. Daily Finance/administrative management duties, such as timely banking, effective float management, records management and filing, cost-saving management and branch purchases, fuel management, security of pledged collaterals, security and management of MIS, Insurance platform management.

  • I have worked in four different provinces of Zambia in a space of 11 years and have learned different cultures and languages thereof. This experience has greatly helped me gain knowledge and understanding in the fields of practical business management and interpersonal relationships. It is from this background that I have learned over 4 local languages that I can say am able to speak comfortably and fluently.

Accomplishments

  • My journey in AMZ is dotted with a impressive number of elevations from ordinary Loan officer in 2013 to the position of branch manager today (2024). I have proudly served the current Institution in four different capacities and a track record is there to show.
