- Improve protection system availability by undertaking periodic maintenance to ensure continued equipment availability.
- Enhance system reliability by conducting protection co-ordination studies at all interface points on transmission and distribution networks.
- Programming of protection IEDs.
- Perform complex calculations for protective relay settings of transmission lines, distribution feeders, transformers, capacitor banks and station buses.
- Carry out post-fault and root cause analysis, prepare reports and implement contingencies for any mal-operation of the protection system.
- Design, install and tests substation auxiliary AC/DC systems.
- Implement substation automation using IEC61850 standard and conduct signal testing.
- Sizing, installation, testing and commissioning of instrument transformers.
