  • I assist in all underground survey works including;
  • Traversing of underground tunnels and placement of roof pegs.
  • Determining grade control for vertical and horizontal direction of tunnels.
  • Create underground hazard safety maps for health and safety team.
  • Trigonometric leveling for the transfer of surface elevations to the underground traverse network.
  • Monitoring and fixing surface control points around the Mine site.
  • Using surpac to digitize tunnel formations, movements, connecting of levels into a 3D Model.

Accomplishments

  • Documented the hauling of 1120 decline to level 1040 through accurate angular grade control.
  • Privileged to work on the mega construction and rehabilitation project of the Ndola-Lusaka road into a Dual carriageway. I was survey engineer who first observed design flaws in AVIC design plans.
  • Determined an automated way of setting out road centers and their respective offsets in a South GPS machine as a temporal system.
  • The only intern part of the high profile land dispute settlement of Kitwe's GnG company and a classified resident of Kitwe.
  • Due to my safety orientation at any institution, I dismissed a driver due to indiscipline and lack of safety while following necessary protocols.
