Oversee all operations for Jubilee Metals Group in Zambia.
These are 1,200 tpm capacity copper cathode plants in Kabwe, which follow the process: crush, leach, SX, and EW.
The other plant is the Roan Copper Concentrator, which has a 60,000 tpm feed and follows the process of Crush-Grind-Float-Thicken, as well as a Dense Media Separator (DMS Plant) with a capacity of 60,000 tpm of feed.
Reports to the Managing Director, Jubilee Zambia.
Subordinates are Operation Managers for the Ndola and Kabwe sites, and their respective Engineering Managers.
Determine the KPIs for each individual plant (Ndola and Kabwe sites), respectively.
Formulate medium- to long-term goals for the operations in Zambia.
Align and guide individual Operation Managers on sticking to the core business of the company, and how to implement and achieve desired targets.
Overseeing daily business operations and maintenance, and ensuring it is making business sense at all times.
Creating and managing budgets for Jubilee, Zambia.
Encouraging Ops Managers to strive and find ways of improving revenue.
Evaluating the performance of each site against targets, and inducing a course of action when necessary.
Analyzing accounting and financial data
Ensuring the business is aligned with government, and international statutory obligations.
Ensure Ops Managers are hiring the correct people for various tasks.

Spearhead the sable zinc research facility, and bring economic value to what would be worthless in other circles, such as historical tailings and other refractory ores.
Flotation test works on various samples of different mineralogies.
Normal leaching and hot temperature leaching for sulfide copper concentrates.
Conduct a physical upgrade of various base metals, such as copper and cobalt, on spiral classifiers and shaking tables.
Heap leaching test works on various ores and particle sizes.
Hydrometallurgical test works and lock cycle tests simulating plant conditions with a view to identifying bottlenecks and improving plant efficiencies.
Carry out cyanide leach tests with a view to concentrating gold and silver.

Technical Manager

Was involved in the procurement, installation, and running of three flotation plants, each with a capacity of about 30 tph feed through the plant at Rudra Mining in Chingola, Zebesha Mining in Mwinilunga, and Ramoji Mining in Mufulira.
Generated day-to-day technical reports for the three flotation plants at Rudra, Zebesha, and Ramoji plants.
Conducted tailings surveys, plant KPI audits, and metallurgical test works to improve the circuit performance of the flotation concentrator at Rudra, Zebesha, and Ramoji resources.
Conducted metallurgical accounting and audit of the flotation concentrators at Kasempa Mine in Jifumpa, and optimized reagent consumptions.
Determining the optimal ball mill load for the grinding circuit, and the flotation parameters for the flotation circuit.
Supervised the operations of the crushing, grinding, flotation plants, and concentrate thickening units, and ramped up production to full capacity.
At optimal conditions, all the KPIs of each section of the process plants were achieved.

Responsible to the plant superintendent for achieving the set production, quality targets, and specifications.
To ensure production employees are well-versed in best operating practices for various units in the plant, for maximum production output.
Ensure effective investigation of process deviation and equipment failure, and anticipate breakdowns with a view to minimizing downtime.
Ensuring the safety of production employees was a priority, and that full protective clothing and equipment were provided for the right jobs.

Project Metallurgist

Improved the metallurgical efficiencies of the circuit of the old plant to a maximum grade of 23% and a recovery of 90%, which was initially at a maximum grade of 20% and a recovery of 88% before the implementation of the improvements.
Reduced the flotation circuit reagent consumption by more than 20% of the normal operations, while producing superior grades and efficiencies.
Modified the feed to the old plant’s flotation circuit to pure slag, which was initially fed with a mixture of slag and fresh ore, and this became a major cost saving on the company’s part.

Carry out metallurgical accounting, and advise the seniors accordingly.
Regular checks on the filter plates to ensure acceptable moisture content in the concentrate cake.
