Quantity Surveyor for Mulasi Zambia Limited. Responsible for tendering and managing the upgrade/mechanization of small piped schemes, including 428 existing boreholes across 10 Zambian provinces (21 lots). Ensure accurate quantity assessments, cost estimations, and adherence to project timelines and budgets.

• Feasibility Studies / Development appraisal, preparation of Approximate (Design cost) estimate, preparation of Bills of Quantities, provisional Bills of Quantities, measuring from completed construction works, preparation of quotations for Alterations or repair works, tender processes / tender evaluation (in conjunction with procurement department), preparation of contract documents, organize execution and handover site to Contractor, interim valuations / site re-measurement, cost control of construction projects, preparation of valuation reports, preparation of Construction and maintenance budget, supervision of contractors and service providers, ensure compliance to all building and safety statutory regulations by contractors, liaise with projects consultants and local authorities, carry out the process of Land and property acquisition, ensure that all the Agency property is valued, valuation of variations / negotiate with contractors, adjudication of claims (fluctuations, extension of time, loss and expense, etc.), involved in the process of acquiring land titles for the Agency, keep list of the Agency Properties, management of Agency facilities, capital and operation expenditure, management of office allocation to staff, ensure that fixed assets for the Agency are maintained in good order (including furniture, fittings, motor vehicles and equipment), management of third part vendors and contractors, supervision of officers assigned to the unit, ensuring the economical and efficient use of resources within the unit's budget.

• Feasibility Studies / Development appraisal, approximate (Design cost) estimate, prepare Bills of Quantities, provisional Bills of Quantities, measuring from completed buildings, prepare quotations for Alterations or repair works, tender process / tender evaluation / award recommendation report, contract documents, organize execution and handover site to Contractor, interim valuations / site re-measurement, cost control of construct projects, preparation of valuation reports, valuation of variations / negotiate with contractors, adjudication of claims (fluctuations, extension of time, loss and expense, etc.), preparation and presentation of final account.

• Estimating, budgeting and cost controlling of projects, co-ordinate, preparation and transport of equipment for projects, material procurement, on-site and in-house quality inspections, site supervision, planning, scheduling and programming construction operations to be performed (for guidance of a project), supervising inspection of contract work and helping to exercise quality control, cost control.

• Oversee the quantity surveying works, preparation of monthly valuations, preparation or checking payment estimates for work performed under the contracts, accumulating data for preparing statements covering extra works beyond that specified in the original contract, preparation of quotations for variations, extra and maintenance works, preparation of material schedules, preparation of Bill of Quantities, preparing requests or claims covering questions relating to payment for work performed beyond contract specification, helped in material procurement, tendering and contract negotiation, contract administration, arrange for bid bonds or financial guarantees for proposals in compliance with tender document, preparation of project budget, preparation of final accounts, planning, scheduling and programming construction operations to be performed, preparation of project cost estimate, cost control of construction projects, preparation of dairy and weekly reports, handled site queries and instructions, site management, supervising inspection of contract work and helping to exercise quality control, assisting in the maintenance of contractual relations, interpretation of contract plans and specification relating to contractual obligations.
