VOLUNTEERING/COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

  • I am a passionate individual with a strong academic background in community mental health, caregiving, administrative and secretarial skills. I have had the opportunity to volunteer at our local home for the aged, where my experience in a short time has significantly shaped my character and abilities. Through this role, I developed compassion, patience, tolerance, adaptability, and effective communication skills, all of which have allowed me to connect with clients, colleagues, and my environment in a mindful and thoughtful manner. In addition to my work with the elderly, I have served in a government department that provided information services and guidance to a diverse range of clients, including the elderly, disabled, and other vulnerable groups in society. This experience helped hone my skills in people engagement and management, with a strong focus on delivering satisfaction and meeting the unique needs of each individual. I am deeply committed to volunteerism, and this commitment extends beyond my professional experiences. I also volunteer at my local church, where I am part of a women's group dedicated to supporting the needs of the elderly in our community. Our efforts include providing cleaning services and teaching cookery skills to enhance their livelihoods As a mother of four children, I understand the importance of nurturing the next generation with the right values, education, and cultural awareness I strive to instill in my children a deep sense of volunteerism, cultural tolerance, and an appreciation for diversity. Given my diverse experiences and commitment to serving others, I believe I am well-suited for your volunteer program, and would bring a compassionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated approach to the work
