I am an enthusiastic and skilled graduate would like to enjoy being a part of, as well as leading a successful and productive team. I am quick to grasp new ideas and concepts, and to develop innovative and creative solutions to problems. Able to work well on my own initiative and can demonstrate the high level of motivation required to meet the tightest deadlines. • Initiated and liaised visits by publishing and marketing representatives of International publishers looking after International businesses and scheduling meetings with various departmental heads of academic institutions, encouraging dialogue for creating demand of published titles, getting local academicians to interact with these representatives to find out potential joint venture publishing opportunities for local writings between Grey Matter Ltd and these International Publishers.
• Developed and created a pool of qualified local authors to develop specific teaching and learning material answering curriculum requirements, teaching and learning pedagogies. Also coordinated development of training manuals for dissemination and orientation of content of own publishing products to teachers and subject specialists across secondary schools in the countries.
• Was singlehandedly instrumental in coordinating and developing secondary school textbooks answering the new and revised secondary school curriculum Achieved 100% success rate with our submissions by getting 324 title approvals for Grey Matter publications for use in the secondary school sector in Malawi. These titles will be in circulation and use till year 2021 in Malawi.
• Instrumental in producing the only secondary school atlas (for geography and social sciences) which got approval in the secondary school booklist and is currently the only atlas available in the country for use in secondary schools. Was awarded a “Vote of Thanks” by the Malawi Institute of Education and the Directorate of Inspection and Advisory Services (DIAS) for this effort.
• Currently working on a project to produce “Science Manuals for use in Secondary School Laboratories “for Malawi and also making presentations to the Ministry to include this as an assessment tool for secondary school’s examinations.
