I have MBA training with an FT100 business school, the University of Cape Town's Graduate Business School (UCT GSB). I have gained senior business and management skills largely in the private sector across industries including corporate banking, oil and petroleum, energy, mining, passenger and cargo transport, telecommunications, and renewable energy. I have over 10 years of senior corporate sales experience up to the executive level, senior finance & accounting experience, and senior corporate Treasury & corporate banking experience. Gained insight, skills, and practical experience in developing and executing sales strategies, building fit-for-growth skilled teams, structuring financing decisionsandoptions, balance sheet restructure and management, working capital, cash and liquidity management, procurement & vendor management, legal compliance within legal frameworks (banking & financial services Act, Securities Act, pension & insurance legislation, ZICTA Act, consumer protection regulations), plus general systems of internalandglobal control. Most importantly, customer service experience, all working in multinational corporationsandbanks and in multi-cultural environments. I have unique insight as a leader, chief salesman, corporate treasurer, accountant, and banker with international experience, all with stringent accountability for performance, controls, governance, talent recruitment, coaching, retention & reward, budgeting, strategic planning, procurement, and outsourcing of services. Keen interest in a challenging or international senior leadership role—having come full circle with significant multidiscipline expertiseandskills acquired through cross-functionandsector experience. Looking for an executive leadership challenge and/or board appointment in a multi-cultural and fast-paced environment while keeping open to new learnings. My biggest achievement was to undertake a successful restructure of the business and identify new talent which has saw the bank win significant new business mandates hence growing the business to over cUSD250m in assets & contingents, over cUSD300m in securities under custody with a combination of global and local clients (eg Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup etc); more than doubled revenues over three years; Coaching and up skilling of new talent in the bank and most of all, raised the profile of the business with massive recognition in the bank. Overall market share had increased to about 25%.

-As a result, role appointed to sit on bank’s Senior Management Committee (Manco/Exco), appointed to sit on ALCO (Asset & Liability) committee of the bank, with responsibility over the bank’s Corporate liabilities (deposits) and providing input into Asset Liability Management Policies and Practice. As Exco, also sit on Portfolio Risk Committee, Group Special Assets Management Committee & Early Alert Committee to manage credit risk.

I have recently closed a number of trade finance deals with a FTSE100 mining company in Zambia with no external product support from the regional office generating significant USD revenues for the bank.
