Reporting to the Clinical Services Director, the main duties are:

To maintain high clinical standards and client care through ensuring that:

• Clinical teams understand and follow all current MSI protocols and have access to up-to-date manuals and policies.
• With support from Director Clinical Services, Lead trainings for MS Vasectomies and Mini-Lap Tubal ligations and LARC across channels.
• With support from Director Clinical Services, Lead in Incidence Management across all channels.
• Ensure all initiatives and recommendations by the Medical Development Team are effectively introduced through regular and effective supervision to check adherence to MSI protocols.
• Clinical team members understand MSI objectives and goals, and they effectively deliver services within their scope of competence and training.
• Proper and detailed records are maintained, including the efficient management of all complications and complaints including response times.
• Undertake site internal quality audits of each team at least once per year.
• As a member of the Medical Advisory Team (MAT) within Zambia, be part of the decision-making process of the team.
• Conduct clinical audits of Outreach, PSS, Nested Nurses, Centres and MS Ladies channels of service delivery.
• Assist Operations in the effective performance management of clinical staff; providing guidance and implementing corrective action where needed in liaison with the Human Resources Manager.
• Chair the product safety committee and ensure regular meetings occur and are documented and acted upon.
• Ensure clinical induction and training of all new service providers occurs within 30 days of recruitment.
• Increasing Access to safe Family Planning and Safe Abortion Services through training and quality assurance.
• Delivery of safe and effective Mini-Lap Tubal Ligations and Non-Scalpel Vasectomies following MSI guidelines.
• Raise awareness of client's rights and ensure all client's receive full access to MSZ or partner service providers.
• Offer clinical training to MSZ staff and partners in long term family planning methods.
• Assist in effective communication between Support Office and Clinical teams to maximise performance.
• Lead technological and other innovation in the business to drive forward more efficient systems and optimise performance of clinical teams (i.e., client flow, clinic set-up, record taking).
• Monitor clinical teams and centres for appropriate branding, environment professionalism and customer service.
• Assist Marketing and Operations with clinical content of BCC material and monitoring client satisfaction.

• Successful delivery and expansion of Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) services throughout public and private sector.
• To offer leadership by ensuring MSZ has a an energetic, innovative, capable, and appropriately managed service delivery teams.
• To ensure maintenance of high standards of care and client satisfaction at all service delivery points.
• Help in demand generation together with the marketing team.
• Supporting community mobilizers and team leaders to develop and maintain partnerships with community stake holders in accordance with MSZ national policy.

• Supporting the Senior Clinical Services Manager in supervising all clinical quality issues at Mariestopes Zambia.
• Training of providers in Long Term and Reversible Family planning service, Medical Emergency Management, and Infection Prevention.
• Conducting Quality Technical Audits in 7 Outreach teams in 5 provinces in Zambia.
• Directly offering family planning services (Bilateral Tubal Ligations-BTLs under local anaesthesia).
• Supporting Family Planning Services and Technical Assistance to other service delivery channels including social franchise, social marketing, and Diva centres.

Achievements/Responsibility

• Clinical mentorship to Clinical Officer and HIV/AIDS practitioners in the province.
• Data collection for all organisational HIV related data in the province.
• Training of MOH employees in both Adult and Paediatric ART.
• Monitoring of the program, ensuring all eligible clients are put correct regime of Antiretrovirals and ensuring that the clients are correctly monitored.
• Advising appropriately all matters related to HIV program in the province.

Responsibility

• Coordinating MC services in 14 CIRDZ supported sites in southern province.
• Ensuring that all the CIDRZ supported sites in the province have the necessary requirements for the day to day running of the program including consumables and allowances for providers.
• Providing onsite technical assistance, supervision, and mentorship to MC providers in the sites in the province.
• Providing onsite spot checks to ensure quality and adherence to national guidelines in the provision of MC services in all the supported sites.
• Collection of VMMC data and timely reporting.
• Planning and implementation of all outreach activities in the supported sites in the province.
• Preparation of provincial budgets for smooth running of the program in the province.
• Collaboration with MOH in the successful conducting VMMC campaigns.
• Ensuring all the supported sites have all the equipment and supplies for the programs.

Reporting directly to the District Medical Officer, there main responsibilities were;

• Managing clinical care issues at district level.
• Supervision of all health centre in issues related to clinical care.
• Conducting monthly mobile anti-retroviral therapy clinics in all health centres of the district.
• Conducting static and mobile male medical circumcision in the Nakonde district catchment area.
• Management of in patients at Nakonde district hospital (male medical and surgical ward).
• Overall supervision of clinical officers in the district.
• Being part of management committees at Nakonde district health office.
