I have been working in the upholstery field for over 10 years. I have experience in all aspects of upholstery, from furniture repair to custom design and fabrication. I am also familiar with a variety of upholstery techniques and materials, and have keen eye for detail and a passion for quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities and duties
• Repairs or replaces upholstery in automobiles, buses, and
trucks: Removes old upholstery from seats and door
panels of vehicle.
• Mark and develop templates
• Dismantling seats for upholstery preparations
• Measure and cut leather or fabric with the aid of design
stencils
• Install Foam and batting the seats
• Stitching, gluing and nailing fabric in place
• Smooth out imperfections
• Quality Checks on completed orders
• Draw cutting lines on material following patterns,
templates, sketches, or blueprints, using chalk, pencils,
paint, or other methods.
• Design upholstery cover patterns and cutting plans, based
on sketches, customer descriptions, or blueprints.
• Refurbishes interiors of streetcars and buses by replacing
