Clinical Duties:
• Patient Assessment & Diagnosis: Clerk, examine, and diagnose patients in Outpatient, Inpatient, and Emergency departments
• Treatment & Management: Prescribe and administer treatment, manage common medical, surgical, and paediatric conditions according to MOH guidelines
• Emergency Care: Provide emergency resuscitation, manage trauma and medical emergencies, stabilize patients for referral
• Ward Management: Conduct daily ward rounds, monitor patient progress, review lab results, and update treatment plans
• Minor Surgical Procedures: Perform minor surgeries, wound suturing, incision & drainage, circumcision, and assist in major theatre procedures
• Maternal & Child Health: Conduct deliveries, manage antenatal/postnatal care, under-five clinics, and family planning services
Documentation & Public Health:
• Maintain accurate patient records, clinical notes, and HMIS reports
• Order and interpret laboratory and radiological investigations
• Implement infection prevention, rational drug use, and clinical protocols
• Participate in health education, community outreach, and disease surveillance
• Refer complicated cases to Medical Doctors and follow up on referred patients
Teamwork & Leadership:
• Supervise and mentor nurses, students, and junior staff
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team (Doctors, Nurses, Lab, Pharmacy)
• Ensure adherence to medical ethics, hospital policies, and patient confidentiality
• Participate in CPD, clinical meetings, and quality improvement audits
