Roles And Responsibilities
- Preparation of detailed reports and maintaining records, i.e. maintaining the operation checklists.
- Following the proper procedure for operation of any equipment and process in the Ash Handling Plant including Bottom Ash Hoppers, lime conveying, Ash Conveying line, Pumps etc.
- Taking maximum care of man and material in BOP area by following proper safety measures so that the Organization all health and Safety is maintained along with Housekeeping in Ash.
- Taking responsibility in shift to optimize and maximize the generation as per daily requirement.
- To achieve the set performance parameter star gets for the plant.
- To take decisions for operation related discussions on real-time basis.
- Safe start-up and shutdown of equipment’s of Compressor, Bottom ash Hopper, ESP Hopper ash transmitting to Silo, LDO oil pumps, ACW, CW pumps, Cooling Tower Level maintaining and filling and others through DCS and ensuring proper local line-up.
- Supervising & coordinating all major start-up and attending all troubleshooting during normal and emergency conditions.
- Working proper SOP & pre-check list and implementation for Equipment operation.
- Responsible for Operation and Maintenance of Boiler and its accessories.
- Hot Startup, Cold Startup, and Hot Box-up procedures of Boiler. Familiarized in Hydro test.
- Measuring the thickness of Water walls, Super heaters, Economizer, COC and Bed Ash Coolers tubes. Responsible for continuous, safe and efficient operation of Boiler Field.
- Start up the equipment in a safe and systematic manner.
- Watch the equipment to ensure its run under safe working condition.
- Maintain proper cooling of different Bearing system and maintain salient levels in the different subsystems.
- Maintain the specified pressure and temperature and levels at various points.
- Watch the mechanical behaviors of all moving equipment, noise, vibration, bearing lubrication and cooling etc.
- To coordinate with maintenance team and properly isolate the equipment for Maintenance work.
- Arrange the auxiliary equipment in proper sequence and make certain they perform efficiently and reliably.
- Inspection of Main steam line and boiler supports inspection and set the spring hanger support.
- Carry out Slow firing and alkali boil out of Boiler as per standard.
- Having experience to normalize both Boiler & turbine during emergencies like block outs and TG, Boiler and its auxiliaries Trips.
