Mainly due to the Zimbabwean situation I have moved around quite a bit, switching between printing and farming, as has been necessary. Printing has been a necessity at times whereas farming and the outdoors has always been my preferred occupation.
Spent the last three years in America to be with my children whilst their mother struggled with Pancreatic Cancer.
Delivering boats to customers and providing thorough orientation including boat safety and operation, GPS navigation and weather conditions as well as tourist information for sight seeing, dining, fuel locations etc. Collecting of boats at rental end and checking for any damage, fuel levels etc. Returning boat to Home Dock and attending to any repairs or mechanical and electrical issues.

Started as a Machine -minder on a brand new 5 Colour Roland 700. Became foreman in charge of three presses. Eventually ended up as Print Production Manager in charge of production and quality off seven multi-colour presses.
Whilst there I was trained and qualified as a "Colour Champion" in order to implement and oversee the introduction of the internationally accepted "Mellow colour" computerised and digital colour control systems.
Was also trained and qualified in the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standard for Packaging and Packaging Materials.
I also received "Incident Investigation" training as well as "Root Cause Analysis training.
Having left Zimbabwe I joined Michael James Litho as a Night shift Machine minder. I left them when the company was sold to Paarl Print.
Overseeing propagation, planting, growing and harvesting of a range of Protea Flowers for export to Holland Auction floors. Included pruning schedule, disease and insect control, quality selection, grading for export, packaging, cold room storage and delivery to facilities for export by air.
Duties also included building of various cottages, entertainment areas, squash and tennis courts.
Responsible for Vehicle maintenance and workshop, fire break and internal road maintenance.
Opened my own small "Jobbing" Print Shop. 3 small presses producing stationery products, Letterheads, Business Cards etc.
Employed as Manager of the Crocodile and Ostrich Farm. Duties included building of new Crocodile Hatchling and Rearing pens as well as an egg incubator room and an EEC Certified abattoir. I was responsible for Problem Animal Control and wild Capture, also Crocodile egg collecting on an annual basis as per National Park Permits in various parts of the country.
I also helped with tobacco picking and curing in peak growing season.
Responsible for Land-prep, planting, disease control, harvesting etc af Potatoes. Also responsible for general vehicle upkeep and farm maintenance.
Responsible for Production of monthly Commercial Farmers Union Magazine as well as print requirements and stationery for individual Private farms.
Responsible for "Problem Animal Control" (Capture) of crocodiles as requested by Police, Local Government etc mainly in Tribal Trust Lands. Also responsible for egg-collecting of Wild Crocodile Eggs as per permits issued my National Parks. Responsible for Game-culling as required in times of drought. Responsible for Weapon Armory and re-loading of culling ammunition.
Underwent a Veterinary Drugging course and was certified to use specific drugs for use with game capture to ensure safe, responsible handling of captured crocodiles.

Served a five year City and Guilds Apprenticeship in Lithographic Machine Printing. Attended the Salisbury Polytechnic.

Played Baseball for Zimbabwe in the All Africa Cup, received my National Colours for Baseball.
Qualified as a Volunteer Wildfire Firefighter and driver in Cape Town in 2018 with the Volunteer Wildfire Service.
