Main Duties

• Effectively design and review technical operational processes in the area of surveying, designing, implementing of networking services,identify gaps and recommend changes

• Technical Operational Process inspections to ascertain compliance to quality control standards

• Preparation of weekly network changes reports and flag and SLA adherence issues

• Facilitation of end to end management of network changes from internal stakeholder engagement meetings ,risk analysis,accurate scheduling,removal of impediments.

Achievements

• Participated in the 2023 Optic Fibre Network Operations Service Provisioning Process review. This involved the realignment of all processes involved in the provisioning chain from surveying, designing, implementing ,managing and billing of the Zamtel Optic fibre Wide Area Network(WAN)

• Successfully conducted Q2 2023 quarterly IT/Technical audit and review of processes that are required from surveying ,designing, implementing, monitoring and managing the Zamtel Telecommunication Network and data centres. We identified critical gaps, impediments,then later created an issues tracker and prepared workshops to foster awareness and continuous process improvement.

• Facilitation of the 2020 Zamtel technical/Information Technology processes and procedures review, leading to the formulation of a more usable framework outlining the Process goal, objectives, Interacting processes, Process ID Card, flow charts, activity table, RACSI Matrix, supporting document.

• Successfully performed regional mobile data and voice quality of service audits to ensure alignment with our ICT regulatory standards that ascertain acceptable user experience. Upon completion, we successfully engaged the relevant stakeholders and ensured continuous engagement until all issues are closed.

Main duties

• Monitoring of the Core IP Nodes to ensure early detection of network alarms.
• First line network support of the Core IP nodes before escalation to field technicians.
• Prepare daily and weekly availability,bandwidth and latency reports.

Achievements

• Lead my team in the planning, designing and implementation the first ever Network Operating Centre(NOC) Core IP node monitoring tool.
• Increased Core IP nodes network availability from 94% to 98% as the new monitoring tool was able to detect alarms before an outage could occured.

Main duties

• Reporting and analysis of mobile data network Key Performance Indicators(KPIs) and providing recommendations on techniques for KPI improvement.
• Ensure frequent engagement with the Core network support team to collaborate over the resolution of degraded KPIs.

Achievement

• We Improved node availability from 97.7% to 99% by thorough research on KPI degradation issues identified and enhanced collaboration with the system vendors.

• Lead my team in the implementation of a wide area network interconnecting government ministries to government stores ,this has since improved the tracking of government procurement.
• We Installed the of the Zambia Revenue Authority Business to Business (B2B) links.This has connecting many customers to the Ascuda online clearing platform for better visibility of the customs process.

• Troubleshooting of customer networks faults

• Installation and configuration of the First ever network monitoring tool for real time monitoring of our enterprise clients' Wide Area Networks(WAN),internal routers, switches and International Service Providers (ISP) links.This has lead to efficient fault detection and resolution hence attaining high availability.

• Participated in the successful testing of the AIRTEL 3G data service during the implementation phase.
• Installation of the Disaster Mitigation management Unit (DMMU) APN which has helped our national disaster unit with early detection of changes in weather patterns.
