- Review of maintenance tasks and procedures including JSA's and SOP's
- Repairing buckets, Booms, Sticks and other Structural repairs on Hitachi and Riebhirr Machines
- Execute function to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and trade standards
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the work area both during and after completing a job/task
- Fully responsible for Metal Inert Gas welding (MIG), Oxy Cutting, Carbon Gouging and MMWA (Stick Welding)
- Repairing of buckets, back boards and jaws of shovels
- Carry out maintenance activities assigned by the supervisor in accordance with the safe work procedures and standard which include JSA's, FLRA, Hazard identification and SOP's
- Changing GET and carrying out inspections
- Fabrication and installation of structural Components
- To keep accurate work and time keeping records
- Fill in and maintain log books so that all statuary compliances are met
- To ensure safety, quality and production is maintained at all times in the work area
- Ensure task requirements are clearly understood and all risks identified before commencing the job
- Be able to use analytical skills to determine type of materials and heat treatment processes as well as crack testing techniques
- Inspect all welding works to ensure cracks welded are dependent on depth
