• Managed to delineate the resource at area nose and helped do a first ever update on the geological model with 648,906 tonnes of in-situ copper ore; with 360,156 tonnes of oxides/mixed at 2.8%TCu and 1.49 ASCu and 288,750 tonnes of pure sulphide at 2.336 TCu and 0.518 ASCu. These quantities were evaluated within the current pit design for area nose.

• Discovered that Kansanshi Mine was experiencing excessive drill bit wear (i.e., bit size reduction) at an average of 8% leading to high drilling cost, and explosive loss of 11% for every 5% bit diameter reduction and hence compromising blasting effect.
• Compared the performance of the two types of the bits in use i.e., Sandvik and Heritage brands. Therefore, I recommended Sandvik bits (consumable)and advised to disregard Heritage bits
• Demonstrated the ability to communicate by convincing the panel of engineers during research presentations
• Presented final findings to kansanshi mine and to the school of Mines and Mineral Sciences.
