Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Management.

• Forecast, requisition, receive, and manage stock of pharmaceutical and allied medical products.
• Maintain a reliable inventory system, and ensure an uninterrupted supply of essential medicines.

Health Information Systems Management.

• Manage and update SMARTCare and eLIMS (Electronic Logistics Information Management System).
• Generate monthly and quarterly pharmaceutical reports for district and national health offices.

Training and Community Engagement

• Train community health workers (CHWs) and youth groups on rational medicine use, reproductive health, and HIV/AIDS programs.
• Participate in health talks and outreach programs aimed at improving medication adherence and public health literacy.

Hospital Management Participation.

• Contribute to hospital management meetings as a senior officer.
• Advise on medication budgets, procurement plans, and policy decisions affecting pharmaceutical care.
• Represent the pharmacy department in external audits, reviews, and strategic planning sessions.

Emergency Response Leadership.

• Coordinate pharmacy response during outbreaks (e.g., cholera, COVID-19, malaria), including stockpiling and rapid distribution of emergency drugs.
• Act as the focal person for national programs such as immunizations, TB, malaria, and family planning supply chains.

Financial Oversight and Management.

• Manage the society’s overall financial health and sustainability.
• Monitor bank accounts, investments, and cash flows to ensure financial stability.
• Track income and expenditures across national programs, branches, and projects.

Budgeting and planning.

• Lead the development of annual budgets in collaboration with the National Executive Committee.
• Ensure alignment of financial planning with the Society's strategic goals.
• Monitor budget implementation, and recommend adjustments as necessary.

Financial Reporting and Accountability.

• Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Submit audited financial statements to the General Assembly and regulatory bodies.
• Maintain financial transparency with all members of the Society.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure adherence to the Society’s constitution, financial policies, and statutory obligations.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, and tax authorities to maintain legal compliance.
• Implement internal controls to prevent fraud and misuse of funds.

Resource Mobilization Support.

• Support the Executive Committee in identifying and managing funding opportunities.
• Oversee donor fund management, and ensure timely and accountable use of grants.
• Guide project managers on financial compliance for externally funded initiatives.

Support to Regional Branches.

• Provide financial guidance to provincial branches to ensure standard financial practices.
• Monitor branch-level collections, remittances, and financial reporting.
• Facilitate training for branch treasurers, and financial officers.

Records and Documentation.

• Maintain proper financial records, including receipts, invoices, bank statements, and asset registers.
• Ensure availability of financial documents for audits and board review.

Strategic Leadership.

• Contribute to long-term strategic planning through financial forecasting.
• Advise the Society on financial risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Represent the PSZ in finance-related engagements with stakeholders, regulators, and partners.

• Represented Zambia in Japan under the Cassiopeia Hospital Management Project.
• Oversaw COVID-19 vaccination efforts and pharmacovigilance.
